David, the Mayan Calender is NOT the Word of G-d and only He is to be worshiped.  Sure satan does have powers but they are not of G-d.  G-d would not have spent all the time He spent talking with His Prophets nor would He have spent all the energy and time to preserve His Scriptures if He wanted people to believe in other sources of information other then His.   Think!!!   Reason!!   There is only ONE G-d and He gets real upset when people go to other gods for information.  Stay away from the Mayan Calendar bull crap.   Read His Word and listen to His Words to your heart.  He will give you Truth where others give you imitations of the truth.  G-d is a creator.... satan is an imitator!    L'Shalom

The Mayan calendar predicts that 12/21/2012 will be the end of the world, this is a people which conducted human sacrifices to their god for better crops.  As such it is not hard to understand where their revelations originated.  The scripture below should answer your question.

Mat 24:35  “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” Shabbat shalom!

Where in scripture you see that the Mayan Calendar is an instrument of satan? We now know that the Great Flood did occur as is proclaimed in the Bible but, it is verified by other nations that confirm the same in their own ancient history. While we always want to be careful about what mankind accepts as fact & prophecy, science and theology are only separated by ignorant minds. God gave His children the blessing of His knowledge & prophecy but it does not mean that others can't interpret and understand His message, even those who have never been introduced to Him personally.

A good word in accord with the scriptures.  The Mayan calendar is also one of Satan's instruments designed to cause confusion and doubt as to the validity and accuracy of Yah word; and we can see how many have been drawn into its deception, by the anxiety it has caused among both worldly people, and young professing Christians alike.  Shalom!

Beloved:

I think it is important that we remember these discussions are meant to edify each of not to excoriate those with whom we have differences.  Is the love of Yahweh not manifest among us?  Remember, a brother or sister will in the not too distant future be something to be cherished.  I have no problem with debate but let debate be profitable not derisive.  Speak the truth as you know it but speak it in love.  Our goal is to do all we can to chisel away all that is not truth, pure, lovely and birthed of eternal truth.  I have found that a small hammer and a sharp chisel is much better for sculpting than a jack hammer and dynamite.  In both the gospel of John and the Epistle of John this theme is oft repeated -- love one another.
